Many families just like yours have partnered with us to build their own home. When we are ready to build new homes, we work with families to complete an application process that includes a written application form and background check to determine eligibility. Home visits are made to the eligible applicants that appear to have the greatest need and capacity to become successful Habitat homeowners. When the build site is ready, families selected for partnership work alongside volunteers from the community to build their homes. Once their homes are completed, they begin to make affordable mortgage payments to us.
If this is something you would like to explore, please READ the Eligibility Requirements for home ownership through Habitat. If you are interested in partnering with Habitat, our next open enrollment will not begin until Spring 2020. Please continue to check our website for updates.
