Ready to Volunteer?

Habitat for Humanity of Butte County has some really exciting goals for 2010 and we are thrilled to get you involved!

Below are some of the opportunities to get involved.

  • Construction - We have started construction on three new homes at 16th Street and we will need volunteers to help there.

We are currently looking for a licensed contractor to join our team

for more information, please contact Darlene 343-7423.

  • ReStore - The store is constantly busy, which means our guys rarely have time to sit down!  Volunteers who can get involved with some of the essential functions of the ReStore are needed.  If you have an extra 3 hours a week or twice a month and would like to get involved with this exciting aspect of the organization, please let us know!  We are looking for Warehouse Assistants to receive donations and maintain inventory.

  • Office - We have misc jobs to do around the store and office.  We could use the help with the following:

             1.  Install window sills

             2.  Paint doors, door jambs, window sills, and trim

             3.  Install window coverings

             4.  Organize storage room - tools, etc.

             5.  Organize storage files - box & label

             6.  Hang pictures in office

  • Blogger - We need someone to help track the progress of the houses on 16th Street.  We would love to share this excitement on our website.  Anyone with experience blogging, photography, etc, please contact us!!

  • Video / Short Film - We need help with creating a short film / video to help educate the public and thank our volunteers.  This will be shown at our fundraising events.

  • Awareness Campaigns - We would like to see the community learning more about the need for affordable housing and getting involved with Habitat.

  • Campus Chapter - Students interested in getting involved with Habitat should consider revitalizing the Campus Chapter at CSUC.  There is a lot involved and we are eager to help with resources and support.  For more information: e-mail Tim Forrest at tforrest@mail.csuchico.edu

  • Committees -  Fundraising, Church Relations, Family Selection, Family Support, Finance & Budget, Grant Writing, and Operations.  Click here for more info

There are plenty of other ways to get involved with Habitat for Humanity.  Let us know how you can help!
