Habitat for Humanity of Butte County has some really exciting goals for 2010 and we are thrilled to get you involved!

We will be holding monthly Volunteer Workshops.  Come spend time with other volunteers and learn about opportunities to help.  Also, we are anxious to hear about your experiences and we welcome suggestions.

Below are some of the opportunities to get involved.  

• Construction - We hope to start construction on three new homes at 16th Street in spring 2010 and we will need volunteers to help there. 

• ReStore - The store is constantly busy, which means our guys rarely have time to sit down!  Volunteers who can get involved with some of the essential functions of the ReStore are needed.  If you have an extra 3 hours a week or twice a month and would like to get involved with this exciting aspect of the organization, please let us know!  We are looking for Warehouse Assistants to receive donations and maintain inventory.

• Office - We have misc jobs to do around the store and office as we are settling into our new space.  We could use the help with the following:

             1.  Install window sills

             2.  Paint doors, door jambs, window sills, and trim

             3.  Install window coverings

             4.  Install toilet

             5.  Change out bathroom sink

             6.  Organize storage room - tools, etc.

             7.  Organize storage files - box & label

             8.  Hang pictures in office

• Blogger - We need someone to help track the progress of the houses on 16th Street.  We would love to share this excitement on our website.  Anyone with experience blogging, photography, etc, please contact us!!

• Awareness Campaigns - We would like to see the community learning more about the need for affordable housing and getting involved with Habitat. 

• Campus Chapter - Students interested in getting involved with Habitat should consider revitalizing the Campus Chapter at CSUC.  There is a lot involved and we are eager to help with resources and support.

• Committees -  Fundraising, Church Relations, Family Selection, Family Support, Finance & Budget, Grant Writing, and Operations.
