Aluminum Can Recycling

Habitat for Humanity of Butte County received a grant through Habitat International and Novelis to further the mission of our ReStore; reuse, repurpose, recycle!

ReStore IS now accepting donated aluminum cans

The ReStore is all about keeping usable items out of the waste stream that goes into the Neal Rd. landfill. And now that we lack a local CRV station, Habitat is offering a way to continue recycling and your donation will support building affordable houses in our community. This is such an easy way to give back.

We invite you to donate your personal aluminum cans, OR join our Recycle Partner Program and start a collection or contest at your place of business, organization, or school. All of the proceeds will benefit the Habitat Rebuilds in Paradise Project.

The Habitat Rebuilds in Paradise Project completed 3 homes this past summer and another 4 will be completed by the end of the year. Of the 7 families, 5 were impacted by the Camp Fire, 7 were previous renters, 5 are single moms, and two have a family member with a disability.

THe habitat for humanity and novelis Partnership:
  • Novelis has shared with Habitat for Humanity affiliates the value of recycling and has supported Habitat’s commitment to green building and sustainable construction.
  • Novelis is providing recycling bins and monetary grants to help Habitat for Humanity increase neighborhood sustainability across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Novelis and Habitat for Humanity have also joined forces for an initiative to encourage local communities to recycle more.
  • Novelis is a global producer of aluminum rolled products and recycler of aluminum.
  • Novelis is driven by its purpose of shaping a sustainable world together.
  • Novelis employees have volunteered on various Habitat house builds and have initiated fundraisers to help build homes in partnership with families in their communities.
